Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cekrek (the "Platform"). By logging in via Google SSO and using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Platform

Cekrek is a dual-sided marketplace that allows event photographers ("Photographers") to upload and sell digital photos, and users ("Users") to discover and purchase those photos.

  • All users default to a "User" profile upon initial login.
  • Users may voluntarily opt into "Photographer Mode" to upload content and receive payouts.

2. AI Matching Disclaimer

The Platform leverages advanced third-party artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to automatically match Users to photos based on visual attributes and unique characteristics.

Limitation of Accuracy: This automated matching is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy. We are not liable for false positives (matching a User to a photo of someone else) or missed matches. It is the User's responsibility to visually verify that they are the subject of the photo before completing a purchase.

3. Intellectual Property and Licensing

When a transaction occurs, the following licensing rules apply:

  • Photographer RightsThe Photographer retains the underlying copyright to their uploaded images. By uploading, the Photographer grants the Platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, watermark, and process the images through our AI matching algorithms.
  • Buyer LicenseWhen a user purchases a high-resolution photo, they are granted a personal, non-commercial use license. The user may download the photo, print it for personal use, and post it on personal social media accounts. The user may not resell the image, use it in commercial advertising, or claim copyright ownership.

4. Content Moderation and Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload any content that is illegal, defamatory, highly offensive, or violates the intellectual property rights of others.

  • User ProfilesReference photos must only contain images of your actual identifying features and visual characteristics. Uploading offensive or irrelevant images will result in account termination.
  • PhotographersYou must only upload photos you have the legal right to sell.
  • EnforcementWe reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove any content and permanently ban any user who violates these terms without prior notice.

5. Payments, Payouts, and Refunds

All financial transactions are processed securely through Xendit.

  • PurchasesAll prices are listed in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Once a high-resolution digital file is purchased and the download link is generated, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for digital downloads unless the file is demonstrably corrupted or defective.
  • Photographer PayoutsPhotographers will accrue earnings in their dashboard. Payouts will be disbursed to the Photographer's linked bank account via Xendit according to our standard payout schedule. We reserve the right to deduct standard platform and payment gateway processing fees from the final payout.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indonesian law, Cekrek and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Platform; or (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Platform.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Jakarta, Indonesia.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
